Services
Hospice is a special way of caring for people with terminal illnesses and their families that:
- Treats the emotional and spiritual needs of patients as well as their physical needs
- Takes place in the home, in nursing homes, assisted livings or even in the hospital
- Concentrates on making patients as free of pain and as comfortable as possible
- Considers helping family members to be an essential part of its mission
- Believes that the quality of life to be as important as the length of life
Medical Directors
The agency Medical Directors oversee all medical services of the agency, coordinate care with the patient's chosen attending physician regarding pain and symptom control, review patient eligibility for hospice services and act as a medical resource to the patient/family, the hospice care team and the medical community.

Nursing Services
Hospice nurses work with the patient and family to educate them about medications, disease progression and preparation for the inevitable loss of the patient.

Acts as case manager for patients and families
Hospice Aide Services
Aides are available to provide personal care to the patient
- Assist in daily activities
- Provide temporary relief for providers
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment
- Assist in personal hygiene and grooming
Social Workers
Each patient and their family are assessed for their emotional, social and financial needs and to develop a strategy to help you to cope with those needs
- Assist with end of life decision making
- Source of referrals to social and financial agencies
- Provide social counseling and support
Spiritual Support
Chaplains provide patients and family members with spiritual support
- Support the relationship between the patient, family and spiritual community
- Act as a spiritual advisor and provides spiritual support
- May assist in planning and/or conducting funeral services
