Everyone goes through the grieving process in their own way. A lot of people handle everything just fine and never find it necessary to talk to anyone about their issues. However, quite often they may feel it would be helpful to be a part of a grief support group. It is for that precise purpose that Care & Share was created.
Care & Share meets every Tuesday at the Heart'sWay Hospice office in Longview. The meetings begin in the conference room at 10:30 a.m. and end around noon. This group is open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. It was originally created to offer support to the families of those we have served but was opened up to help anyone who needed support with their grief.
There is no cost to attend and you don’t have to register. You may come and just sit and listen or participate as much as you feel comfortable doing. Many of our wonderful volunteers started as attendees of Care & Share. They not only found the strength to recover from their own grief but found a strong desire to be of help to others who were suffering as they had suffered.
