Our Vision
Heart'sWay Hospice serves the large majority of our patients in
their homes. Our community includes many people for whom
this is not an option. We currently provide inpatient care
at several local hospitals and nursing homes. Our vision
is to build an inpatient center with residential qualities and a
warm, caring, homelike atmosphere, where every patient will have
personal dignity and a positive quality of life.
A new home care/administration building where our professionals
can all be housed together with room to continue growing and
expanding the quality of care we provide is another
important part of our vision for the future. |
Giving
Hospice Longview, Inc. founded in 1984 as an
independent, non-profit agency serving the terminally ill and
their families in an 11 county area in northeast Texas. We
changed our name to Heart'sWay Hospice of Northeast Texas in
2004 to better reflect our regional focus. We are a
501c(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts are fully tax
deducible.
Heart'sWay Hospice has never turned away a
qualified hospice patient regardless of funding source. No
patient is ever billed for our services. In 2006 we spent
$157,585 caring for patients with no source of funding.
Financial gifts are critical to our continuing to provide these
services.
Memorial, General
or Special Gifts - A financial donation to Heart'sWay
Hospice is a lovely and meaningful way to remember friends and
family. Many families of patients we serve choose to list
Heart'sWay as a charity of choice in the patient's obituary.
Heart'sWay recognizes each gift with a note to the family unless
the gift was given anonymously.
Leave a Legacy -
Gifts made as a part of your overall financial plan, which may
benefit you now and Heart'sWay Hospice later are known as
